GEORGE SHAGHASHVILI

Fashion designer, artist, entrepeneur, photographer, you name it. I see this sweet designer has the next Da Vinci of fashion without a doubt.
I had the pleasure of seeing his art work in our last meeting and I was speechless.
His imagination and criativity is beyond comprehension and the love and passion he has for his work is undescrivable in words, you have to be in his presence to feel the intense feelings and emotions that he has for the industry of fashion and art itself.
His collections are amazing on a perspective of details. Multi-functional and unisex pieces that fits perfectly on anyone. Did I mention that he also includes in his collections shoe wear, belts, bags and jewellery, everything hand made and absolutelly stunning.
He loves black ( and so do we ), and he uses fabrics such has cotton, knitting, wool and lots of leather.
I see this designer as one of the most promising talent in the industry and we will look forward to see his next collection SS12! We will update you with the new collection AW11 pictures very soon.

Max Factor Winner Award

"For the second year in a row, one of the leading top fashion shows make-up Max Factor awards the Max Factor New Talent Award to a danish up and coming designer.
Copenhagen Fashion Week and Max Factor are proud to present Veronica B. Vallenes as the winner."
Well earned, I must say. Veronica B. Vallenes has surprised the public and consumers positively.
Focusing on a elegant approach, a subtle feminity and normally portrayed with pastel, soft colours, the new collection AW11 filled the Cityall with dominating, detailed draping and vibrating, minimalistic colours.
And what an amazing soundtrack!

Kopenhagen Fur outsiders

When I was standing in front of the city hall (rådhuspladsen) waiting in line to to watch the Official CFW Opening Show by Kopenhagen Fur, I spotted a few protesters against fur used in plenty quantity by the Kopenhagen Fur designers. Men, I love these moments ( thumbs up for their persistence, even though surrounded by the police they made their message get through, at least to me.

Copenhagen Fashion Week 11

New York has one. Paris has one. London has one. Now Copenhagen has one. In fashion week in August 2006, Copenhagen Fashion Week and the Mayor of Copenhagen inaugurated City Hall as the official show space for Copenhagen Fashion Week. City Hall, the old and impressive architectural gem from 1905, is located in the heart of Copenhagen and is setting the stage for Scandinavian fashion during the two annual fashion weeks.
Every February and August, Copenhagen is host to Northern Europe's largest fashion event, Copenhagen Fashion Week. On the catwalks are a growing number of new and known Danish talent with a preview of their upcoming collections. And at the four trade fairs, CPH Vision, Terminal-2, Gallery and Copenhagen International Fashion Fair.
Danish fashion is known for its unique angle on design, innovation and aesthetics. With a more modern approach to femininity and functionality, expressed in fresh silhouettes, a focus on details and incomparable quality. These are only some of the reasons why more than 60,000 buyers, designers and global press attend Copenhagen Fashion Week twice a year.
