Dolled Up

KATE UPTON

Kate Upton and Anna Marie Reilly play dress up in a photoshoot together lensed by Remi Rebillard. It’s always fun to mimic iconic toys like Barbie, playing on features by teasing luscious long manes and wearing dolly makeup.
These models follow the same style but make it look sizzling hot rather than babydoll cute. Dressed in pretty lingerie with perfect pouts and innocent puppy-dog eyes, Kate Upton and Anna Marie Reilly come off as a pair of sweet and sexy dollfaces.
For this Spring the trends will be colourfull and playfull, with plenty of energy yet subtle.
Try the babydoll look at home with soft pastel colours in the eyes, long fake eye lashes, light pink blush and finish it with a juicy gloss.

Make up tutorial

1. After moisturising your skin, you can also add a cover up for the pores ( only in case you have any, I do so I add just a bit for a more good finishing ), I normally buy the product in a tube at Sephora.
So, to resume - Face cream - Pores cover up - Foundation - Under eye corrector. You are ready to go.
2. Are you good to go? Okay, aply with a proper shadow brush the shadow powder on your top eyelid.
You can also add a bit in the nose direction to give a more wide eye sensation, but just a bit. We dont want look "overworked" :)
3. Make a tidy line on the top eyelid with your eye liner, colour black of preference. Be sure that the brush is not too dry nor the ink, otherwise it will be messy. If you want to be more confortable, use a pencil eyeliner instead. In order to have that "big eye" effect, you can draw a line outside the eye, directing up of 0,5 cm only and make sure that the line finishes thin.
4. But first we need a lash curler...Hold the curler close to the eye lid, closing in between the lashes, wait 10 seconds and then let go.
Here comes trouble, eyelashes. If you have small eyes, I advise you to be patient.

Well, you can buy fake eyelashes everywhere. Where there is make up or parfums there is lashes ;)
So, you might need to adjust the eye lash to your eye, only in case, cut the extra out with a nail scissors, after that you apply the glue ( normally comes inside the box ) onto one lash first, let it dry for about 15 seconds, then apply it carefully with your finger and use the tip of a tweezer to help you, then do the other lash.
I have heard that one should not put mascara on the fake lashes, in order for them to last longer, which is true ;) but if you dont feel confortable apply just a bit of a mascara in order to connect your lashes with the fakes.
5. Light pink blush to give a bit of colour. With a soft, wide brush apply the blush on the cheek bone facing down.
6. Finish it with a strawberry or chocolate flavoured lip gloss or if you are going to the club with your friends and you wanna look more flirty, try the scarlate red lipstick mate, but only if you have thin lips.
Dont forget to go to the powder room to check it once in a while ;)

P.S: I am not a make up artist. There are millions of ways to do make up and this look. I got to know some tricks when I "bumped" into an assistant at Douglas and she showed me some tricks.

And I would like to dedicate this tutorial to my good friend Silvana Silva. Miga este é para ti :))

What should you use?

Lady Gaga creating fragrance that smells like "blood and semén"

Wow....
Well, can you portray the title as rumours or just plain truth?
Coming from Gaga, I have no expectations at all. No matter what she does or comes up with I will shock and awe.
There has been rumours whether Lady Gaga would really launch her own parfum, since everybody else is doing it. But now is official. The "Monster" will be launched by Coty in 2012, and the ads, oh dear, it will boast and fill your puppils, now described as "unprecendent and groundbreaking".
Now, shall we go back to the title? Yes, Lady Gaga requested that the scent of her new first perfum should be "blood and semén", ( popeater.com ) , fleshy hun!!
I am pretty picky about perfums, so I do not think that bodily fluids would be my first choice, but who knows, maybe it will have the best smell........oki..
My first worry, innocently was, where will they get the blood from, who will supply it?... Pile a few blood banks will ya?

Cinderela until Midnight

Tonight I am so romantic and pinky, its unusual this. Well might as well take advantage of it and show great high fashion. Again its an homage to Elie Saab, the genious of evening wear.
So whats the story? I am day dreaming all the time and I was thinking of a fairy tail where we could wear beautiful dresses for just a few hours and I compared to the story of a 21st century Cinderela, me and you, whom sigh for the gorgeous dresses Elie Saab presents us every season but can only dream about it...Oh well, might as well look at it and love it :) Enjoy!

Perfect for The Red Carpet

Here I was minding my own business, sipping on my cup of tea - grean tea mint yuuum - and looking through the looks of the red carpets, and the opinions of the "Fashion Police" and which celebrities nailed the perfect look and who failed completely. Anyhow I tried to check around and look for inspiration on how to dress the girls in order to make them a shining star, literally :)
All dresses are from Elie Saab, collection Spring 2011.

David Koma for TOPSHOP

For the first time, Topshop collaborated with David Koma, up and coming design star, graduate of 2009 from Central Saint Martins.
The pieces, only 30 of each style are set to be future collectables. Made in luxurious black and beige high stretch wool and mesh and featuring statement cylindrical silver embelishments, the collection plays on the designers fascination with the contrast between tough metal and feminity. Strong and sculptural, yet feminine and seductive, David Koma fans will be delighted.

Latest on Dior case

After weeks of speculation, Riccardo Tisci is set to take over as the new designer for Christian Dior.

The former creative director for Givenchy is rumoured to replace John Galliano following his sacking over Anti-Semitic charges last month.
Style.com editor Derek Blasberg claims he overheard the news after a Katy Perry concert in Paris.
He tweeted: 'I was just told backstage at the @KatyPerry concert (of all places!) that Riccardo Tisci is CONFIRMED at Dior.'
But despite the reports, Dior have yet to confirm the news.
And Tisci said yesterday he was happy where he was after unveiling the new Givenchy collection during Paris Fashion Week.

The other strong contender for the Dior hotspot is Lanvin's Alber Ebaz.

The Galliano saga began two weeks ago when Paris police were called to La Perle bar in the Marais district where they found an inebriated Galliano shouting abuse. On Saturday, another woman lodged a complaint for similar behaviour back in October.
The British designer will stand trial later this year on charges of making racist insults in public.

Tisci, who has been at Givenchy since 2005, was initially appointed creative director of womenswear and haute couture. In 2008, he took responsibility for menswear and accessories.

Although the rumours, its said that the Givenchy designer who unveiled the collection this week in Paris claims is happy where he is.

He would make an amazing work anyway. Come Tisci!!

ISSUE #1 The perfect party outfit

I just adore Lanvin and Balmain. Yes, two opposite kind of styles, but hey thats how I am!
Here are my picks for a great night out in the VIP area with your best friends and have the time of your life!

First two photos are Lanvin, Oui mais J'aime c'est ca! Clean lines and flattering for every body shape and trés chic! Although I dont prioritise colours in my wardrobe I am definitely including in my wardrobe for the warm season colours such as neon yellows, reds and electric blues!

Second two photos are Balmain, Si si mamasita! I love the raw, rock and full of attitude Balmain always puts on his collections. Jeans and ripped go together like roses in a jar of water. If you prefer more to dance freely, go to an after party and dance all night long, I would go with a more relaxed look to have the best time of your life and dance non stop.

All the photos are from the Spring 11 collection.

WINTER LOOK#1

Do I wear skirts? Not really! But I love dresses, especially 10 cm up the knee, knee length or long. I always mix the dresses with some jeans, designed leggings or boyfriend pants. When I was a kid ( 14-18 ), I always had a different look for each semester and from where I come from, you dont do that. But anyway, I loved my age from 17 to 18 years old where I was a "cool hippie". I wore dresses on top of pants. The pants or leggings should be mid-leg length ( spring summer ) and the dresses should be special or have a subliminar message. I loved this one dress I had where I had a full printed anime character wicking at whoever would pass me by. Of course that the doll did not represent myself fully since I was not flirty but very much the opposite, very very bitchy attitude. Ahaha teen times, you gotta miss them. Of course then I tried the real world and I had to drop the bitchy lines. I only use them occasionaly, when needed of course.
Anyway guys, I present you my favorite winter look, long dresses/skirts and normally draped ones. If is too long you can always make a knot on the front, sides or back. Its a killer look! You can mix it with a leather rock chic jacket and some flat boots and you're out the door and if you really want, you can accessorize the look with a "charlie" hat or a long minimalistic necklace!Enjoy! Here are some pictures to get you inspired.
